For those of us who choose to be in this Country and say we are Christians, it is time! Yes, the time is now! We need to stand up and be counted on to "do the right thing because it is the right thing to do and do it right!" Another way of saying that would be for us to do the God "thing" because it's the God way and do it God's way!

Could This Not Happen Today?

There is a story in the Bible about a king. Many kings, actually, but this king is a good king. His name is Josiah. Josiah has men who work for him and one day King Josiah asks his scribe to go to the high priest, Hilkiah, and have him take care of some money business in the house of the Lord. While doing so Hilkiah finds something. He turns excitedly to the scribe as he has found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord. He gives the book to the scribe and the scribe reads it and goes merrily back to King Josiah to say that the business at hand was taken care of but he also says to the king, "Hilkiah has given me a book," and he reads it to the king.

Here's the exciting part. When the king hears the words of the Book of the Law, he tears his clothes. He then commands Hilkiah the priest, Shaphan the scribe, and others to go inquire of the Lord for him and for the people and for all Judah just what the words of this book that has been found might mean for he knew that the wrath of the Lord was aroused against them because of their fathers disobedience to the words of the book.

What they were told was not good; calamity was coming to all the people of the land for their worship to other gods BUT WAIT! Because King Josiah's heart was tender, and he humbled himself before the Lord when he heard what was spoken against Judah and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation, and a curse, and he tore his clothes and wept before God he would not see all the calamity which God would bring. With this they brought back word to the king.

His response? King Josiah gathered all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem to him and went to the house of the Lord. Priests, prophets, and all the people went along too! And he read the Book of the Law to them! He made a covenant before the Lord to follow the Lord and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and with all his soul. All the people were with him. Imagine that in America today!

If it could happen in those days we must together believe it could happen today. Read it for yourself in Second Kings 22 and 23 of the Bible. Believe it. Pray it. Only the Lord knows yet it has been placed in my heart that there is a Hilkiah and a King Josiah in America for us today. This King Josiah, this person today, will hear the words from the Word of God, our Bible today, and when he does he will tear his clothes and proclaim the truth and bring back our heritage to the United States of America!

To God be the glory!

In The Beginning

Godly men chose to include God in founding our Country, the United States of America, and it should be no different today or in our future. So, where is He now? Have we forgotten the beginning of America? Are we too late? Have we let the "few" take over leaving Him out?

For some reason the figures aren't coming out right for me. In every factual survey, documentation or writing I read about those who believe in this Country - and believe there is a God - and also believe that we should keep Him in our government and schools and on our money, the percentages are high; almost always over 75% if not in the 90 percentile for God and Country! So why have we let the "few" take over? Where did "they" come from? And, why did we vote a president into the highest office that is running rampant, non-stop with his own agenda and getting away with it? This man could have been the greatest we ever have had - had he chosen to do the right thing because it was the right thing to do and do it right from the beginning!

I've never taken an interest or done well with politics since my birth. In Junior High School I wish I would have listened and studied more during my History and Government classes. But now? I'm interested! I've sat and read and listened enough! It's time for me and you, too, and others who know that it is getting way out of hand to do something! What, may be the question. I know because I've been asking that same question myself. Thus, I begin this blog. I am going to write and as I do I will be studying up on things that come to my mind as I share them with you. I want to grow in wisdom and knowledge and, by golly, I believe one can make a difference!
